Green Changes.org is an organic t-shirt company "creating organic and fashionable apparel for the promotion of a greener tomorrow."
Producing 100% organic tees at an affordable price point ($18.00- $30.00), they are poised to push sustainable fashion forward! Creating tees with catchy logos like "Green is the New Black" and "Got Green", they are leading the way in green mass messaging and it is spreading fast. Carried by Whole Foods and other select retail locations, green change is in the air. What makes these different from other organic tees out there?
First, they take the tee and merge it with fashion- procuring the tee-tunic. The tunic is a longer tee with a flattering cut that falls at the upper thigh, making it the perfect accomplice to leggings- which has become a mainstay in our fashionable wardrobes. ;)
Second, they not only want to offer the standard tees that they produce, but invite you to join the green team and use their production team to manufacture tees with your own messages for fundraisers, events and personal labels.
At a recent gallery exhibition, I was lucky enough to snag an impromptu interview with Co-Founder Justine Kawas. Watch the interview here! ;)

Justine Kawas and Jodi Strober want to change the world, one T-shirt at a time. The two women, friends since Strober sold Kawas a home two years ago, have started a company called Green Changes that sells certified-organic cotton T-shirts with slogans like “Going, Going, Green” and “Green is the new black.”
Their line is targeting eco-conscious children and adults who want to do something to make a difference — and look cool doing it, Kawas and Strober said. “It's beyond just a T-shirt company,” said Kawas, who lives in Doylestown Township. “It's creating a way to spread the word.”
It was Strober's daughters and Kawas' husband who first started spreading the word. Strober said her daughters, ages 5, 9 and 13, learned about recycling and conservation in school, and it became a family project. Soon, they were distributing fliers around their East Rockhill neighborhood about how people could “go green.” At the same time, Ricky Kawas decided he wanted to start making screen-printed T-shirts, Justine Kawas said.
Strober, a real estate agent who also works for her brother's roofing company, and Kawas, who runs a chain of retail news outlets in New York City, started Green Changes in September.
Kawas has put her marketing savvy — “She can sell anything to anybody, anywhere,” Strober said — and her contacts in the publishing world to use. Green Changes will be in a half-dozen magazines early next year, Kawas said
“We're mainstream people trying to do the best we can do and make people aware,” Kawas said. “We're so far from passing judgment. It's the little things we can all become accountable for that makes a difference on a daily basis.”
The T-shirts, which come in a variety of sizes, colors and styles, range in price from $18 to $30. They're available on the company Web site, www.greenchanges.org, and at upscale retailers and salons including A Beautiful Life in New Hope and Annodam in Doylestown.
Each shirt is made from 100 percent certified-organic cotton and dyed using a chemical-free process. Almost all of the shirts are manufactured in Allentown and printed in Hatboro, Kawas said.
Green Changes shirts are also available for fundraisers, Kawas and Strober said. The two friends want to go global with their company and already have contacts in Europe and Australia. “There's no stopping us,” Strober said. “We want to get it out to everybody, everywhere.”
Said Kawas: “The real mission is to continue on the path of getting people involved. It's not just us selling shirts. It's people using it to raise funds and create awareness. The goal really is to get people to spread the good green word and join the movement.” http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/147-12242008-1642998.html
